There is a difference between a refurbished computer and an ICT Direct Passed computer. Our equipment undergoes rigorous testing and cleaning procedures.

Computers, servers and laptops are verified for functionality and performance. Monitors are tested for clarity, brightness and colour range. Computer keyboards and mice are supplied brand new.

System Testing - Initial Approval

ICT Direct computers are the brand name products you know and trust. Our systems are sourced from end of lease corporate customers, ensuring they are the highest quality business models from office environments (e.g. banks, insurance companies and government departments).

• Power On Test

Units are powered up to make sure no immediate and obvious failures occurred during receiving.

• Visual Inspection

Our technicians perform a methodical visual inspection to spot missing plastics or bezels, cosmetic damage, loose fittings etc.

System Testing - Secondary Approval

• Component Check

Using testing software each component is checked and verified.

• Dust Extraction

Cases are removed and pressurised air to remove every bit of dust from within the unit, including such hard to reach places as power supply and CPU fans.

• Surface Cleaning

Using non-toxic, environmentally friendly cleaners our cleaning team cleans all external surfaces. Specialised chemicals are used for specific cleaning jobs e.g sticker adhesive removal.

• System Specification

Our technicians test every component and perform any custom upgrades requested by customers (increasing RAM, hard drive, changing optical drives and adding components)

• Custom Imaging

All hard drives get a complete industry standard hard drive wipe. Computer and laptops are usually supplied without imaging. We can image the computers if required.
